86. seeing in color

August 18, 2012 by Simon Wallerstedt

As you all probably know I am primarily a black and white photographer, but over the last week I’ve been shooting exclusively with color film. Color brings a lot of new challenges, as well as opens up new opportunities when shooting on the street. I’ve really enjoyed it, it’s fun to try something once in a while that I don’t usually do. It’s interesting how my thought process changes once I put a roll of color film in the camera. […]

75. olympus mju

July 15, 2012 by Simon Wallerstedt

About a week ago I talked about how I needed to find a replacement for my Konica Big Mini. I think I’ve found it already! It’s the Olympus Mju-1 (Stylus in the US), a small compact camera with great optical quality. Similar to the Big Mini it has a fixed 35mm lens with a maximum aperture of f3.5. The camera is in great condition and so far I’m very happy with it. Olympus Mju-1 (35mm). Kodak Tri-X 400, developed in […]

72. big mini

July 9, 2012 by Simon Wallerstedt

My favorite compact camera, the Konica Big Mini, sadly seems to be ready for retirement. It’s tired.. Very tired. Don’t know why, but it’s not the battery. Now I need to find a replacement. The Big Mini is a fantastic little camera with a really sharp 35mm lens. I’m looking for something similar. Time to start searching. Konica Big Mini (35mm f3.5). Kodak Tmax 100, developed in D76 1+1.
