Color brings a lot of new challenges, as well as opens up new opportunities when shooting on the street. I’ve really enjoyed it, it’s fun to try something once in a while that I don’t usually do. It’s interesting how my thought process changes once I put a roll of color film in the camera. […]

About a week ago I talked about how I needed to find a replacement for my Konica Big Mini. I think I’ve found it already! It’s the Olympus Mju-1 (Stylus in the US), a small compact camera with great optical quality. Similar to the Big Mini it has a fixed 35mm lens with a maximum aperture of f3.5. The camera is in great condition and so far I’m very happy with it. Olympus Mju-1 (35mm). Kodak Tri-X 400, developed in […]

My favorite compact camera, the Konica Big Mini, sadly seems to be ready for retirement. It’s tired.. Very tired. Don’t know why, but it’s not the battery. Now I need to find a replacement. The Big Mini is a fantastic little camera with a really sharp 35mm lens. I’m looking for something similar. Time to start searching. Konica Big Mini (35mm f3.5). Kodak Tmax 100, developed in D76 1+1.
